HAUL ASS, NOT CARGO
In 2019, Áspero took the gravel world by storm, heralding a "new era of speed in gravel." The new Áspero remains true to its original brief, but with meaningful improvements: a threaded BB shell, neater cable routing, and a UDH-compatible derailleur hanger for SRAM Transmission compatibility. And it's more aero. In the case of Áspero, aerodynamic performance is less about pure speed and more about conservation of energy — after a big day in a headwind, the three watts saved might add up to one less energy gel. WORTH IT.
Cervélo dropped the seat stays for more compliance out back, reduced front-end stiffness slightly for long-race comfort, and added more mud clearance. The result is faster, more comfortable, and more versatile.

Áspero uses the asymmetrical T47a threaded bottom bracket Cervélo pioneered on R5-CX — simple, rider-serviceable, and delivers the benefits of BBRight in a more user-friendly form.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING
Áspero shares the same bearing dimensions as R5, Soloist, R5-CX, and Caledonia — mix and match bearing caps and stems for a fully-internal look.
