Cervélo has been engineering performance-first road and gravel bikes in Canada since 1995, and the Áspero is their benchmark gravel racer. Built for riders who want to haul ass, not cargo, it’s faster, more comfortable, and more versatile than ever. This size 51 in Quarry is ready to ride out of our Laramie shop.
HAUL ASS, NOT CARGO
The latest Áspero stays true to its original mission with meaningful upgrades: a threaded bottom bracket, cleaner cable routing, a UDH derailleur hanger for SRAM Transmission compatibility, and improved aerodynamics. On a gravel bike, aero is less about top speed and more about saving energy. After a long day into a Wyoming headwind, those few watts saved might mean one less gel. Worth it.
Cervélo also dropped the seat stays for more rear compliance, softened front-end stiffness slightly to make the last hours of a long race hurt less, and opened up mud clearance. It still feels like the Áspero riders love, just faster, more comfortable, and more versatile.
THREADED BOTTOM BRACKET
The Áspero uses Cervélo’s asymmetrical T47a threaded BB, first developed on the R5-CX. It’s simple, rider-serviceable, and delivers the stiffness benefits of BBRight in a friendlier package.
UNIVERSAL DERAILLEUR HANGER
SRAM UDH compatibility means you’re ready for Transmission drivetrains now and future upgrades down the road.
WHY THIS BUILD
This is a mullet build: Rival AXS levers up front paired with a GX Eagle AXS rear derailleur and a 10–52t cassette, giving you wireless shifting and a huge gear range for steep climbs and loaded-up adventure days. Reserve 40|44 carbon wheels and 45c WTB Vulpine tires keep it fast on hardpack and composed when the gravel gets rough. It even comes with a top tube bag and accessory mounts, so it’s ready for long days out of the box.
